At a 2024 Daniel Avery all-nighter hosted by KOKO, London, Brain Wash TV worked with Asahi to create a unique interactive installation that was as immersive as they come. Its dual-screen setup featured a background canvas paired with a semi-transparent LED screen in the foreground, culminating in an entrancing space where guests could pose for pictures between displays.
ASAHI INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION AT KOKO, LONDON

The creative team focused on developing content that balanced bold, memorable visuals while maintaining a clear brand association with Asahi. Using Notch Blocks within TouchDesigner for playback, they crafted a system that could handle the complex interplay between audience members and visual elements without sacrificing impact.
To achieve this goal, the team added Hokuyo sensors to allow for audience interaction while ensuring seamless layering between the foreground and background elements in their designs. To avoid repetition, the team developed multiple "moods" audience members could trigger in different combinations, ensuring each viewer experienced something distinctive.

Though this project was completed before Notch 1.0, we’ve recently begun using it for all our work and have found the increase in visual fidelity is above and beyond what has previously been possible in real-time visuals. We’re really excited to see how projects like these will work moving forward.Jim Warrier, Notch Designer, Brain Wash TV
The project proved successful, garnering significant social media engagement as attendees lost themselves in the installation’s labyrinthine, laser-lit glow throughout the night.
