FILA “CRAFT YOUR OWN GRID” TENNIS FASHION SHOW

MxC immersed audiences in an abstract visual history of tennis on the runway of FILA’s fashion show in Beijing.

On September 22, 2025, FILA and lead agency Auditoire hosted its Tennis Strategy Press Conference and “Craft Your Own Grid” Fashion Show in Beijing, ahead of the China Open. Aiming to meet at the very intersection of tennis, fashion, and aesthetics, the creative concept centred around FILA’s brand spirit of “Elegant Rebellion.” Divided into four chapters, the full show featured immersive, synchronised visuals that evolved in tandem with the models, lighting, and music, illustrating FILA’s transition from court to city, performance to lifestyle.

Super Bonfire, working as the visual content partner, asked MxC to spearhead screen design and content production for the entire runway. In keeping with the brand’s central evolutionary concept, the onscreen scenes shifted from vintage clay and hard courts to abstract urban scenes, depicting geometric grids and stripes in addition to the classic blue, white, and red reflective textures synonymous with FILA. Apart from the brand’s signatures, MxC aimed to capture, as precisely as possible, the motion and emotion expressed by the game.

To reach the heights of their ambition, MxC used Notch 1.0, incorporating recently released features like the Cloth Deformer and Voronoi Deformer to achieve smooth real-time rendering at large resolutions. As Main Compositor Cuong Nguyen said, “I can attain these effects with other 3D software, but only with Notch can I do so while knowing they’ll run smoothly in real time,” adding, “Combining Notch with After Effects and Premiere Pro for LED pixel editing, we could optimise endlessly to the desired effect.”
