SHAKIRA’S LAS MUJERES YA NO LLORAN WORLD TOUR

BLINK worked with Shakira and The Squared Division on a stadium tour celebrating the artist’s twelfth album and three decades of hits.

BLINK worked with The Squared Division to design and produce visuals for Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, which commenced in February 2025 after half a decade of delays brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. The team of creative directors, including Shakira herself, tasked BLINK with creating visuals for every song and nine interstitial films, seven of which featured a fully animated 3D recreation of the singer. They worked from a set of narratives penned by Shakira that tell a deeply personal story of her whole life and career.

BLINK used Yellow Studio’s stage set, including a widescreen cinematic canvas that offered plenty of versatility in presentation, as the starting point for their key visuals. They used the screens to match the visuals to Shakira’s legendary staging and choreography—as well as her narrative—as fluidly as possible. Going for quality above all else, the BLINK team prioritised doing a few things well with material that felt strong, clean, and effortless.

With technical support from Aron Altmark and Lewis Kyle White, BLINK used Notch to conceptualise, design, review, rehearse, and fine-tune, working directly with Shakira over intricate programming sessions to refine constantly. As Notch Designer Harold Sherr recounts, “We faced some fun challenges, including incorporating video into a 3D environment using 2D or 3D elements—sometimes both!”

They also used Notch for custom beauty filters they could easily toggle through: “As the filters were mainly driven by luminance, our team needed to make adjustments along the way, but the resulting colour grades and glows gave the show an added filmic flair.”

Notch gave us a lot of flexibility across the board, with 2D, 3D, and filters that allowed us to build a truly cinematic show. Our feed is now full of videos showing stadiums packed with people loving every second of it. It’s really gratifying to see that kind of response from fans.
