-.618 and OOPS TEAM collaborated to deliver video for the 20th anniversary celebration of Aspire Academy, Qatar’s internationally recognised national sports development school. Commissioned by Bizarre Creative and executive produced by Nezrin Agayeva, the creative team ultimately produced thirty minutes of high-resolution visuals, which covered a width of 30,000 pixels, in just fourteen days. In the words of Creative Director Alexander Skorik, “That’s why we turned to real-time software and chose Notch. It was the right call.”
With OOPS TEAM spearheading stage and lighting design, -.618 concentrated on building out a cinematic slate of visuals, unabashed in their pursuit to elevate the show. Led by Art Director Dmitry Papizh, the team implemented Cinema 4D and Unreal Engine for specific scenes but ended up crafting the majority of the project in Notch, first for previz, samples of which they regularly sent to the client for daily feedback. They built a virtual stage that allowed them to render and present scenes in context, complete with camera animation and stage simulation, which made the approval process much smoother.
