ELECTRIC CALLBOY’S TANZNEID ARENA TOUR

ST. ROBO designed Electric Callboy's largest arena tour, creating a layered, narrative-driven production from top to bottom.

For Electric Callboy’s Tanzneid Arena World Tour, the band tasked ST. ROBO with delivering the show’s complete production design. This meant building a cohesive visual identity from the ground up—covering everything from lighting and video to scenic elements and transitions.

As the band rapidly grew into playing much larger shows, they needed a production partner to help turn their ideas into a detailed, precisely timed live concept. Given the complexity involved, kinetic movements, beat-perfect pyrotechnics, and multiple costume changes mid-set, it was essential that the entire concept came from a single, coordinated source.

The ST. ROBO team built the show around a robot guide who leads the audience through six distinct chapters, each with its own introduction and signature sound to set the mood and hint at what was to come. They moved from an ‘80s theme through a DJ set, a metal segment, an acoustic moment at the front of house, and a final encore—with costume changes woven into this structure.

Visually, a main upstage wall expanded into angled side walls wrapping forward into IMAG screens. Three large, X-shaped kinetic elements flew above the stage, combining LED surfaces and lighting, allowing it all to read as a single system.

ST. ROBO combined Notch with After Effects, Cinema 4D, Blender, and Houdini. The entire show ran on timecode via a Disguise GX3+ setup, with Notch integrated directly on the servers. This meant the team could import one master file containing all songs and layers, place it on a timeline, and define exactly what should happen at each moment.

One of the key challenges was keeping the video system perfectly aligned with lighting, as brightness, gamma, and contrast needed subtle adjustments from venue to venue. But with all data routed through Notch, they could easily fine-tune nuances cohesively without compromising the overall look of the show.

Although the entire show was programmed to run on timecode with no need for manual triggering, Notch’s real-time capabilities gave us the flexibility we needed during rehearsals—allowing us to react quickly while maintaining a consistent, story-driven visual language across the large LED canvases.
