THE BRIT AWARDS 2026

NorthHouse produced a full visual system based on four distinct themes centred around futuristic environments for the BRIT Awards 2026.

For the 2026 edition of the BRIT Awards—the first-ever hosted in Manchester at the city’s Co-op Live Arena—Executive Producer Sally Wood and Production Designer Misty Buckley brought in creative studio NorthHouse to design and deliver the screen visuals, broadcast package, and full digital suite.

The team knew they’d need something that translated across both the live arena and national broadcast audiences—and across a multi-surface environment constructed around kinetic towers, a vast panoramic backwall, and a series of floor and podium screens, totalling nine distinct surfaces. NorthHouse carefully planned and executed four distinct visual palettes—Earth, Water, Bionic, and Fire—which became the aesthetic anchors for the whole production.

Working closely with Buckley, the NorthHouse team crafted a visual ecosystem inspired by the set design’s futuristic “space station” concept, which blended modern futurism with overgrown natural environments. They combined Notch, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine, EmberGen, and After Effects, handling playback via Disguise servers.

The creative team used Notch within their toolbelt during the visual development stage to quickly explore a range of rendered and real-time design approaches for the large LED screen design. They also found Notch’s speed particularly helpful when working on early design iterations for the broadcast package and digital marketing assets.

The show broke several broadcast records, claiming the highest peak share for any commercial programme in 2026 to date and reaching 162 million views on Instagram—a 400% increase year-on-year.

The scale of the LED environment was one of the key challenges, with visual media needing to be delivered across nine surfaces and at very high resolutions. For this project, Notch was a great component within the toolkit to explore and develop iterations of designs across all elements of screen, broadcast, and digital design with powerful agility—ensuring maximum image quality and stability across the full canvas.
